How to Suggest or Invite Your Friends to Your Facebook Fan Page

invite friends to your facebook page

During the initial setup this functionality is clear. But can be lost in the options and everchanging Facebook landscape.

I wanted to put together this Facebook quickie to show you how to invite your friends to your Facebook Page.

If you visit the your Facebook Page (Fanpage) on the right column logged in as you, the admin, you’ll see serveral options like:

  • Use Facebook as YOURPAGENAME
  • Notifications
  • Promote with an Ad
  • Invite Friends

Click the Invite Friends link and you can suggest your Facebook Fanpage to your friends. You’ll notice it also recognizes those who have already liked your page.

Can’t See the Invite Friends Link on Your Page

click to use facebook page as adminIf  you don’t see the Invite Friends link, its probably because you are logged in as your Page, so make sure to click the link that says “Use Facebook as YOURNAME”.

If this helped you, make sure to show some love and LIKE my Page or retweet this Facebook tip.

I have followed your instructions but there is NO invite friends link in the top right whether I am using it as me or as admin of my fan page. When I click the drop down box that option is simply not there on wither page. Also how can you choose to invite people to your fan page who are NOT already your friends ? Thanks

      Hey Bret,

Hmmm, I’m not sure. When you click “Use this page as Bret Akins”, What do you see in that box?

As far as non-friends, NO you you can’t invite them.

I’m having the exact same problem here. No matter if I use the page as myself or as my site and I have done this several times just to make sure, the Invite Friends link just isn’t there. Its just as your screen shot above but minus the invite friends link .. !

Hey Allan, which part did you misread? Maybe I should reword or highlight it so it doesn’t happen for the next poor soul ;)
